About the Internship

This internship is designed for students and recent graduates who want real-world marketing experience – not busywork. As a Marketing Intern at Echo Marketing, you’ll be treated as a contributing member of the team and given meaningful responsibilities across campaigns, content, and client projects.

We’re looking for someone who communicates clearly, asks thoughtful questions, and takes initiative. This role is best suited for a self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do; instead, they look for ways to add value, improve processes, and proactively support the team. You’ll be encouraged to speak up, share ideas, and take ownership of your work.

We also understand that many early-career professionals seek structure, mentorship, and transparency. You’ll receive clear expectations, regular feedback, and direct access to experienced marketers who want to see you grow. You should be comfortable receiving constructive feedback, engaging in open dialogue about it, and applying it to improve future work.

At the same time, this internship requires accountability, professionalism, and follow-through. You’ll learn how to manage deadlines, communicate in a fast-paced agency environment, and balance independence with collaboration.

If you’re curious, motivated, open to feedback, and eager to learn how marketing actually works in practice, this internship will challenge you in the best way – and set you up with skills you can carry into your career.

Responsibilities & Duties (including but not limited to):

  • Support team members with day-to-day execution of organic social media content across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
  • Assist in planning, creating, and scheduling organic social media posts, stories, and short-form content
  • Create social media graphics and visual assets using Canva (or similar tools), maintaining brand consistency and attention to detail
  • Collaborate with the team to brainstorm content ideas, trends, and creative concepts aligned with client goals
  • Draft captions, hashtags, and basic copy with a strong understanding of brand voice and audience
  • Monitor social media activity, engagement, and comments, flagging opportunities or issues as needed
  • Compile weekly and monthly social media recaps, including performance highlights and key takeaways
  • Learn how to track and interpret basic social media analytics, reporting on engagement, reach, and content performance
  • Assist with content audits, competitive research, and trend monitoring
  • Support additional marketing tasks and projects as needed across accounts and internal initiatives

Nice to Have (But Not Required):

  • Experience creating content for personal, brand, or business social media accounts
  • Familiarity with Canva and a basic understanding of design principles (layout, typography, color, visual hierarchy)
  • A strong eye for aesthetics and attention to detail when creating visual content
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook, including trends and best practices
  • Exposure to social media analytics or reporting tools (or a genuine interest in learning)
  • Comfort writing short-form captions or social copy in different brand voices
  • Ability to manage time effectively and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to take feedback, learn quickly, and apply new skills
  • Proactive interest in the development and responsible use of AI tools in marketing
  • Comfort using tools like ChatGPT, Google Gemini, to research, brainstorm, troubleshoot, and improve work – while knowing when to ask teammates for clarification or guidance
  • Bonus: experience with photography, video editing, or short-form content creation
