Contract Framer Web Developer
Location: Remote
Reports to: Lead Web Developer
About the Opportunity
We’re seeking a skilled Framer developer to partner with us on a project-by-project basis. We’re looking for someone who can take initial creative direction and turn it into polished, engaging websites.
You’ll take our early concepts, wireframes, and homepage layouts and build them out into complete digital experiences that feel cohesive, thoughtful, and user-friendly.
This role is entirely remote. You’ll collaborate directly with our team and contribute to projects based on an agreed project fee.
Responsibilities
- Expand initial design direction (homepage layouts, creative references, brand direction, etc.) into full multi-page site designs.
- Design responsive layouts in Figma, ensuring a clean, modern, and consistent visual approach.
- Build final sites in Framer with attention to performance, accessibility, and interaction quality.
- Maintain and evolve each project’s design system across additional pages and components.
- Provide timely communication and meet project milestones reliably.
- (Optional but appreciated) Develop or modify Framer components to support advanced interactions or custom features.
Requirements
- 2–3+ years of experience designing visually polished, modern websites (preferably with Figma + Framer).
- Strong grasp of layout, spacing, typography, and responsive behavior.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to produce high-quality work under creative direction
- Clear communicator — comfortable providing progress updates and discussing design decisions.
- Bonus skills: familiarity with web interactions, animation principles, and accessibility best practices.
Compensation & Project Structure
This is a contract-based role. Compensation is determined per project depending on scope and complexity, typically for small to mid-sized website builds (around 5–8 pages). Rates will vary based on experience and the quality of deliverables.
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Understanding of Framer CMS, variables, or animation tools
- Light front-end knowledge (React, CSS, or JavaScript) for component enhancements
- Previous agency or collaborative design experience
